Tye Austin’s solo guitar concerts showcase the breadth and versatility of the instrument, featuring traditional classical guitar works, transcriptions from the orchestral and piano repertoire, flamenco and Latin-American music, North-American jazz and pop/rock, and his own compositions.
Guitar & Orchestra
With a concerto repertoire consisting of Antonio Vivaldi’s Lute Concerto in D Major RV 93, and Joaquin Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez and Fantasia Para Un Gentilhombre, Tye Austin aims to collaborate with various symphonic orchestras and chamber ensembles across the world. He has also composed four original works for guitar and orchestra, and he will premiere his latest composition with the Hunter Science Pre-College String Orchestra at Lincoln Center in February, 2018.
Chamber Music with New Yorkestra
This 25-piece string orchestra performs orchestral and chamber music repertoire, plus Tye’s original works for guitar and strings, at various concert halls, weddings, and luxury events in NYC.
