Elegant Music for Wedding Ceremonies & Receptions

Tye Austin, M.M. is available to perform solo classical guitar and chamber music for weddings, marriage proposals, and anniversaries anywhere in the Pacific Northwest and greater US. In addition to solo guitar music, you may also book one of Austin’s many chamber music groups such as his guitar duo, violin/guitar duo, cello/guitar duo, Latin jazz trio, string quartet, or 5-14 piece string orchestra. Supporting string players are all world-class musicians from the Oregon Symphony Orchestra and Portland Ballet Orchestra. You may also book Austin to DJ while he plays a variety of electro-acoustic instruments during the reception and dance party.

You may book Tye Austin and/or The Vow Virtuosi to perform for your wedding ceremony, reception, dinner party and/or cocktail hour entertainment. Wedding ceremonies involve a customized sacred music program that contributes to the spiritual significance of your wedding. Subtle background music is played during wedding receptions and dinner parties for guests to enjoy while conversing with each other. DJ playlists are curated with the bride and groom for cocktail hours and dance parties.

Austin and his various chamber groups perform a wide range of musical genres from traditional wedding repertoire to classical, jazz, flamenco, bossa nova, modern pop arrangements and more. You may request any songs throughout history to be performed on your special day. You may also commission Austin to compose a new musical work for any instrumentation as a polyphonic portrait of your sacred union. There are typically four sections for music in a wedding ceremony. The bride and groom typically choose 4-8 songs/pieces to be performed during the ceremony. Below is a brief description and suggestion list of commonly requested repertoire for each section. Feel free to arrange these musical examples in any order. Prelude Music

Starting as early as 45 minutes before the wedding ceremony, calm and soothing prelude music plays in the background to set the mood for the wedding as guests arrive and find their seats.

Interlude & Postlude Music
