I made my solo debut at the Birdland Jazz Club in NYC last week. Established in 1949, this historical venue has hosted some of the most famous jazz musicians in the world including Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane, Stan Getz, and many others. It was named after the famous alto saxophone player, Charlie “Bird” Parker, who deemed Birdland as, “the jazz corner of the world.” Below you can watch two separate performances of Girl From Ipanema by Antonio Carlos Jobim, and Manha de Carnaval by Luis Bonfa. These videos were filmed live by Tye Austin & David Rosen, and edited by Tye Austin. Please enjoy.
