I’m currently touring through 9 cities on the west coast between Seattle, WA and Los Angeles, CA. I’m performing 18 concerts over the next 30 days. This is my first multi-state tour in my career. It has been booked, promoted, and funded by myself. I just finished performing five concerts in Portland, OR. I performed at a famous jazz club called The 1905, Tendue Performing Arts Center, and a few private house concerts. I have a concert at the Breitenbush Hot Springs in Detroit, OR tonight, March 4 at 7pm. The following day I head to Eugene, OR to perform at the The Jazz Station on E. Broadway at 7:30pm. After that, I head to Seattle, WA for a couple concerts before traveling south for concerts in Roseburg, OR, Ashland, OR, San Francisco, CA, and Los Angeles, CA. One of my concerts in LA will be at the private residence of Greg Castlenuovo-Tedesco, who is the grandson of Mario Castlenuovo-Tedesco. Tedesco was a contemporary of the famous Spanish classical guitarist, Andres Segovia. Segovia commissioned 15 guitar works from Tedesco, who was then inspired to write more than 100 works for the instrument. His contribution to the guitar repertoire is unparalleled by any other composer from the 20th century. I will performing his Tonadilla on the name of Andres Segovia during this intimate concert. Segovia is my grand-teacher, considering I studied with his last direct pupils, Eliot Fisk at the New England Conservatory and Sharon Isbin at The Juilliard School.
I’d love to see you at one of my concerts if I’m performing in your area. If you’d like to attend one of my private house concerts, simply email info@tyeaustin.com and I’ll send you the necessary information. I hope to see you while I’m on tour!

Did you know J.S. Bach had a regular coffee shop gig at Cafe Zimmerman in Leipzig, Germany? In fact, Bach premiered many original compositions at this cafe, including his famous Coffee Cantata, BWV 211. I’m excited to carry on this tradition with my own weekly residency at Alice’s Tea Cup in New York City. You can catch me performing my own compositions and many other classical guitar masterworks during high tea every Thursday afternoon from 3-5pm at Alice’s Tea Cup Chapter II location. Join the Mad Hatter’s tea table with Alice in Wonderland at New York City’s most whimsical tea house! View the full event schedule below and visit

I was recently invited to perform at the Cultural Services of the US French Embassy in NYC on September 27, 2017 to celebrate the second season of Ovation TV’s popular Netflix series, Versailles, which is based on King Louis XIII, and features traditional 15th century costume and set design. I was commissioned to arrange French renaissance music for guitar quartet (violin, viola, cello, guitar). I chose to arrange the music of Josquin, Lully, Rameau, and other traditional French composers from this period, plus some arrangements of timeless modern French music such as Debussy’s Girl with the Flaxen Hair and Satie’s famous Gymnopedies.
I also posed with some of the cast from Versailles after the performance. This was such an incredible opportunity for my career. I’ve only been networking in NYC since July and I’m already being contacted to collaborate with important organizations and companies in the industry. Ovation TV reached out to book me within two weeks of the event after my website appeared first in a Google search. It was a demanding, yet rewarding project! Plus I now have an entire concert program of French chamber music in my repertoire. I’m so glad I was prepared to say yes when this opportunity presented itself. I look forward to working with Ovation TV again in the future.
